They are offering diamonds to clients   Sber clients can now buy diamonds from the bank. The first clients have already purchased several precious stones to make jewelry for personal use.   Diamonds can also be a sound investment, just like investments in gold. The pricing of precious stones available for investment is more complex. Whereas for gold you measure only its weight, for diamonds you take into account their weight, shape, color, and quality. Each stone is unique. If, after the purchase, the diamond is not left in the manufacturers’ safe-keeping, repurchase will require a new expert evaluation.  

KDT siamonds eye to complete the factory in March

  Construction to begin by March at SUR-SEZ   KDT Diamonds is building a factory in India that can produce up to 100,000 carats of lab grown diamonds per year. KDT Diamond announced on the 25th that it received approval from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry to establish a lab-grown diamond manufacturing and polishing plant.   KDT Diamond plans to complete construction of the factory in March of next year (2024) and begin operation in the same month, producing 36,000 carats in the first year of establishment. The goal is to produce 100,000 carats per year in the future.

The GJS-Diwali edition ends successfully!

  Also hosted the 12th edition of NJA awarded The jewellery industry’s most premium B2B Expo, #HumaraApnaShow, India Gem and Jewellery Show (GJS), was organized by the apex industry body, the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), from 30th September 2023 to 3rd October 2023, at the prestigious Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai.  The four-day event was inaugurated by the honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, and was attended by over 400 exhibitors, with over 800 stalls, 250 international guests, and more than 10,000 visitors. De Beers reduced rough diamond availability

  Supports the industry’s midstream rebalances   De Beers Group announced the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auctions) for the eighth sales cycle of 2023. The provisional rough diamond sales figure quoted for Cycle 8 represents the expected sales value for the period 18 September and 03 October and remains subject to adjustment based on final completed sales.   Al Cook, CEO, De Beers Group, said: “De Beers reduced its rough diamond availability and made sales of $200m as the industry’s midstream rebalances certain areas of stock accumulation.   De Beers will continue to support its Sightholders to help re-establish equilibrium between wholesale supply and demand by providing full flexibility for rough diamond allocations in Sights 9 and 10 of 2023, suspending De Beers Group online rough diamond auctions for the remainder of 2023, and investing an additional $20m in natural diamond marketing to help drive consumer demand during the holiday season.”  

No objection on India import Russian diamonds

  G7 Attempts to minimise any potential disruptions!   Recently, Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) said, G7 officials were exploring options to support Indian diamond traders in adhering to G7 sanctions against Moscow while minimizing any potential disruptions.    G7 representatives, in collaboration with the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), were exploring avenues to support Indian diamond traders in adhering to the G7’s sanctions on Moscow while ensuring minimal or no disruptions, according to Anoop Mehta, President of the BDB.   The recent communication represents a significant development for local diamond traders, as G7’s sanctions on Russian stones have been a setback for the nearly 1.5 million-strong Surat diamond industry.
