Lulo unearths 104 carat D-colour white diamond

18th +100 carat diamond recovered on the Lulo concession to date Lucapa Diamond Company announced the recovery of the 18th +100 carat white diamond by Sociedade Mineria Do Lulo from its Lulo alluvial mine in Angola.   The recovery of this second +100 carat diamond from Mining Block 46 (MB46), a 104 carat D-colour white stone, so soon after the 113 carat D-colour white stone, indicates the potential for these blocks as we move deeper into the southern terraces. In addition, the proximity of MB46 to the high priority kimberlites in the Canguige catchment further reinforces their prospectivity. Lucapa is a niche diamond producer with high-value mines in Angola (Lulo) and Lesotho (Mothae). The Lulo alluvial mine and Mothae kimberlite mine both produce large and high-value diamonds, with >75% of revenues generated from the recovery of +4.8 carat stones.
