2nd IDC to attract investments for productive sectors

Angola working on the discovery of new diamond reserves

Chissema the Lunda-Norte reserve projected for 60K carats   Sociedade Mineira do Chissema is working on the discovery of new diamond reserves, to increase its levels of production, turnover and its contribution to the General State Budget (OGE), through taxes payment. Located in the municipality of Capenda-Camulemba, Lunda-Norte province, the mine had a production of 16 carats of diamonds in the first half of the year, levels below the projection, which was 60 thousand carats.   Speaking to the press about the current state of the mine, the head of the geology department, José Van Dúnem, said that initially a monthly production of 10 carats of diamonds per month was planned, but the company decided to reduce the levels due to the fall in the price of the strategic mineral on the world market. He said that only two blocks are currently being explored and the rest are being reassessed, through a prospecting program, which included the discovery of new reserves, to find diamonds

Endiama plans to increase production

The 4th +100 carat diamond recovered in 2022    Lucapa Diamond Company announces the recovery of a 131 carat white Type IIa diamond by Sociedade Mineira Do Lulo (SML). Angola’s Diamond Company Endiama has predicted that until the end of the current year their diamond production of eight million carats of the stone which had previous guideline & planned to produce 10 million carats in 2020. Officials are witnessing the decrease in production owed to Covid-19 pandemic. For next year, if the pandemic is eradicated, the company foresees a diamond production of 11 million carats in 2021. Tango inks services to Angola

Services Agreement for Mining and Marketing Tango Mining Limited announces that it has signed a Services Agreement for Mining and Marketing of Diamonds with Cooperativa Mineira Do Moquita, SCRL on a 147 square kilometer portion of a concession located 50 km north of Lucapa within the Lauchimo River basin, Province of Lunda Norte, Republic of Angola. Tango is responsible for capital expenditures associated with alluvial diamond mine design and equipment acquisition as well as enhancing production. As remuneration, Tango will receive 60% of the proceeds from the sale of produced diamonds. The Moquita Property, is located approximately 50 km downstream from the high diamond value Camútuè kimberlites. These, and possibly other kimberlites, have fed extensive downstream alluvial diamond deposits along ancient, north trending river systems including the Lauchimo River, which flows south to north across the Property. Such alluvial diamond deposits have been exploited by arti
