GSI training course at Fred Meyer Gemological Science International (GSI), one of the largest gemological organizations in the world, conducted the Diamond Essentials Course for retailer Fred Meyer Jewelers, a division of Kroger Co. The two-day Diamond Essentials Course was held at the GSI training facilities in New York City, and offered Fred Meyer Jewelers executives and associates valuable insight on new developments in diamond treatments, lab-grown diamonds, and simulants. The training program included a refresher course on the basics of diamonds, such as grading and identification. The Fred Meyer Jewelers’ executives and associates had an opportunity to examine color and clarity treated stones, HTHP and CVD lab grown diamonds, simulants, and more. Two sections of the Diamond Essentials Course were devoted to lab-grown diamonds, where the Fred Meyer Jewelers team learned about disclosed and certified lab-grown as well as the detection of undisclosed lab-grown diamonds

GSI and KMJ Jewellery host a Session Gemological Science International (GSI), one of the largest independently owned gemological organization in the world recently hosted a Jewelry Cleaning session with Free Interactive Demo session for clients at the KMJ Jewelers showroom.   The highlights of the seminar included a live demo session on jewelry cleaning and cleaning the jewelry of participants with the help of an ultrasonic cleaning machine followed by an interactive Q&A session by the participants.  The enthusiastic participants at KMJ gained knowledge about the skills required for cleaning and taking care of their precious gold as well as studded jewelry through this interactive session.  GSI’s team witnessed a bunch of enthusiastic participants who were inquisitive to know more about diamonds and colored stone jewelry. The new facility will serve its international customer base and will offer easy and complete access to GSI’s numerous laboratory services.
