Karowe Mine unearth 1,094 carat rough diamond

  The recovered rough, the sixth of over 1K carats by Lucara   Lucara Diamond announces the recovery of an extraordinary 1,094 carat rough diamond from its 100% owned Karowe Mine in Botswana. This remarkable stone bears striking similarities to the 692 carat diamond announced in August 2023, which was polished by HB Antwerp and yielded polished diamonds that sold for in excess of USD13 million. Lucara confirms that this newly recovered 1,094 carat stone will also be polished by HB Antwerp, as part of the ongoing partnership between the two companies.   The newly recovered 1,094 carat diamond, the sixth stone in excess of 1,000 carats recovered by Lucara, continues the Company's track record of unearthing large, high-value stones from the EMPKS ore type in the South Lobe of the Karowe Mine. Lucara sold a total 76,387 carats of diamonds!

  Lucara recovered 92,419 carats of diamonds in Quarter 2   Lucara Diamond reports its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2024. In the accordance with the result, Karowe registered the recovery of a 491-carat Type IIa diamond, a 225.6-carat Type IIa diamond, followed by the recovery of a 109-carat Type IIa diamond. A total of 76,387 carats of diamonds were sold, generating revenue of $41.3 million during the second quarter of 2024. A total of 92,419 carats were recovered during the quarter at a recovered grade of 12.9 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht) of direct milled ore. Lucara Q1 sales 80,295 carats of diamonds!

An average price per carat grew to $690 from $480 YoY   Lucara Diamond Corporation reports its results for the quarter ended March 31, Q1 2022 said, Lucara revenue in Q1 2022 increased by 28% to $68.2 million from $53.1 million in Q1 2021 a reflection of strong rough and polished diamond market fundamentals into the first quarter.   The combination of a strong diamond market, combined with the sale of several higher value rough diamonds in Q1 2022 generated an average price per carat (excluding top-up payments) of $690 for Karowe diamonds sold during the quarter (Q1 2021: $480 per carat).   A total of 186 Specials (single diamonds in excess of 10.8 carats) were recovered, representing 6.9% weight percent Specials (Q1 2021: 6.8%). Sales volumes transacted on Clara during Q1 2022 totalled $7.0 million, a 17% increase from the $6.0 million in sales volume transacted in Q1 2021. Approves US$220 million for the expansion   Lucara Diamond Corporation has received credit approved commitments from a syndicate of five Mandated Lead Arrangers for a senior secured project financing debt package of up to US$220 million (the Facilities) to fund the underground expansion at Lucara's 100% owned Karowe Mine in Botswana.   The Facilities will include two tranches: A project finance facility of US$170 million to fund the development of the underground project and a working capital facility of US$50 million to support the on-going operation of the Karowe open pit mine. Financial closing of the Facilities is subject to satisfactory completion of definitive documentation, and satisfaction of certain terms and conditions, including appropriate KYC checks. Lucara Recovered 341 Carat Top White diamond

Gem Diamond from the Karowe Mine in Botswana   Lucara Diamond announced the recovery of an unbroken 341 carat top white gem quality diamond from its 100% owned Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. The 341 carat diamond was recovered over the holiday period from milling of ore sourced from the south western quadrant of the South Lobe M/PK(S) unit. Lucara Announces Second Collaboration Agreement with Louis Vuitton, and HB Antwerp for the Exceptional, 549 Carat White Gem Diamond, Sethunya.  According to the Lucara Diamond it has entered into an agreement with Louis Vuitton, the famous luxury goods House and HB Antwerp, a European diamond manufacturing and technology company, for the purpose of collaborating on the planning, cutting and polishing of the exceptional, 549 carat white gem diamond referred to as, Sethunya meaning Flower in Setswana.   Sethunya was recovered unbroken from direct milling of ore sourced from the EM/PK(S) unit of the South Lobe of Lucara's 100% owned Karowe Mine in February 2020. Lucara Diamond recovers a 240 carat, top white gem diamond, from its 100% owned Karowe Diamond Mine located in Botswana. This diamond will be shown alongside the 127 carat, top white gem diamond reported earlier this year together with other exceptional diamonds recently recovered from Karowe, at Lucara's upcoming diamond tender closing on March 7, 2019. Since mining began at Karowe in July 2012, a total of 54 diamonds in excess of 200 carats have been recovered, including 12 diamonds larger than 300 carats in size. In addition, Lucara has sold 180 diamonds in excess of $1 million each and ten diamonds have sold for in excess of $10 million each. Top white gem diamond from Karowe A total of 129 diamonds in excess of 100 carats have been recovered so far! Lucara Diamond announces the recovery of a 127 carat, top white gem diamond, from its 100% owned Karowe Diamond mine located in Botswana.  Since mining began at Karowe in 2012, a total of 129 diamonds in excess of 100 carats have been recovered, 33 in 2018 alone.  That tally includes 12 diamonds larger than 300 carats in size, of which 5 were recovered in 2018.  In addition, Lucara has sold 180 diamonds in excess of $1 million each and ten diamonds have sold for in excess of $10 million each.
