The 2019 Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender collection Tender is being showcased with bids closing on 9 October 2019 Rio Tinto has unveiled its annual showcase of the world’s rarest pink and red diamonds in an exclusive preview at the Argyle mine site in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia. The 64-diamond collection, including three Fancy Red diamonds and weighing 56.28 carats in total, make up the 2019 Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender. Rio Tinto Copper & Diamonds chief executive Arnaud Soirat said “I am delighted to be at the Argyle mine for this exclusive world preview. Rio Tinto’s Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender delivers record results for pink, red and violet diamonds!   Rio Tinto’s 2018 Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender collection of 63 rare pink, red and violet diamonds from its Argyle mine in Australia has delivered another record result reflecting strong global demand for fancy coloured diamonds. These results are also a reflection of Argyle approaching the end of its mine life, with the supply of these extremely rare diamonds becoming even scarcer. The 2018 collection of the finest pink, red and violet diamonds from the iconic Western Australian mine continued its trajectory of double digit price growth. Rio Tinto lowers diamond production In the just released third quarter Q3 production results Rio Tinto does not included diamond in its Key Points, and does not highlighted diamond production at a glance!   Rio Tinto chief executive J-S Jacques said “We have delivered consistent operational performance in the third quarter, highlighted by strong production from the Group’s copper assets. We made strong strategic progress with the full exit from coal, the announcement of the additional $3.2 billion of share buy-backs, and the signing of a binding conditional agreement to exit Grasberg for $3.5 billion.
