4th Edition of BDW 2023 announced!

To be Held from 6th to 8th April 2023   The fourth edition of the Bharat Diamond Week, popularly known as BDW will be held from 6th to 8th April, 2023 at the sprawling Bharat Diamond Bourse Complex Mumbai. Encouraging signs of recovery!

  Italian diamond exchange:                           All over the world, the diamond industry is going through a very complicated period, and optimism and concern are protagonists. This is what was outlined by the President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses Mr. Yoram Dvash, a reality of which the Italian Diamond Exchange has been a part since 1954. The world diamond industry is slowly getting back on its feet and the Diamond Exchanges are returning to activity albeit with the limitations of the period.  Likewise, the retail markets, China and the United States in the first place, are showing encouraging signs of recovery.   In a report on the global diamond industry, Moody's Investors Service indicated that global revenues from diamond sales are expected to drop by 30-40% in 2020 due to the Covid-19 measures.  And the market should gradually recover from the second half of this year.   ...

WFDB Welcomes De Beers Report on Record

Diamond Jewelry Sales record $82 billion in 2017 The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) has welcomed the De Beers Group's Diamond Insight Report which shows diamond jewelry sales in 2017 at a record $82 billion. In addition, the report finds that the Millennial and Gen Z generations combined accounted for two-thirds of global diamond jewelry sales last year. "There is no doubt that this is a very positive and upbeat report," said WFDB President Ernie Blom. "The diamond industry can take great heart from this report which I would highly recommend that people take the time to read. We can all learn a great deal about how to approach and market to the younger generations because the report contains very detailed information about the buying patterns of the 21 to 39 Millennials age group, and Gen Z of those currently 18-20-years-old. "They are incredibly important demographics with huge spending power, but they want to buy on their terms....
