Smooth rough mining price are coming!

Mountain Province sees a sustainable rough mining rate during 2019 to 2021 Mountain Province Diamonds provides guidance for fiscal year 2019 for the Gahcho Kué Mine as well as an update on company’s performance in 2018. All amounts expressed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.  During the 2018 about 3.1 to 3.2 million ore tonnes processed & 6.6 to 6.9 million carats diamond production recovered.   During the year production costs remained around $110 – $120 per tonne processed that is $50 – $54 per carat recovered cost in 2018.  In addition to the 2019 guidance, the Company also provides a 3-year production outlook for the Gahcho Kué Mine.  The production guidance over the three-year period 2019 to 2021 is evidence of a sustainable and smooth mining rate as the mine performance maintains a steady state. Alrosa concludes polished diamond auction

40 fancy colored polished diamonds over 5 carats sold out! Alrosa held polished diamond auction in Israel on November 4-13, 2018. The companies from Israel, the US, Belgium, Hong Kong, India and Russia were among the participants.   The company presented colorless polished diamonds ranging in size from 5 carats, fancy colored stones over 1 carat, as well as polished diamonds of 0.3-0.99-ct category in batches completed by color.  In total, Alrosa sold about 370 carats of polished diamonds for $2.9 million. Of these, 314 carats accrued to colored stones, mostly large (more than 40 fancy colored polished diamonds over 5 carats with a total weight of 215 carats). “Most companies in the Israeli market show a strong interest in acquiring large polished diamonds over 3 carats. Pangolin signs for 3 diamond projects

A total of thirty two of +0.425 mm -4.0 mm diamonds recovered Pangolin Diamonds has reached an agreement with Umgeni Holdings International Limited under which Umgeni has agreed to acquire a royalty interest in Pangolin’s Precious Stones Prospecting Licences located within the Central District of Botswana, as well as an area defined as the Adjacent Area of Interest for $600K.   Under the terms of the agreement, Umgeni has agreed to pay Pangolin an additional $600K, for a total of $1,200K in funding to date, to acquire the following royalty interests in Pangolin’s Malatswae, Moenyenana and Motloutse diamond projects. The event has become a staple on the global diamond calendar, and attracts hundreds of international buyers from over 20 countries every year. IDWI is held on the immense trading floor of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE). It will feature 200 Israeli exhibitors of polished diamonds, with huge amounts and varieties of goods on offer. In contrast to the large, expensive trade shows, IDWI is a boutique show, exclusively for diamond buyers, with minimal participation costs. CGS to study impact of illegal mining

To co-ordinate government’s efforts to fight illegal mining and the trafficking of precious metals The Department of Mineral Resources SA has initiated a ground stability study to be undertaken in Johannesburg to assess whether there is any long-term damage to critical infrastructure installation as a result of illegal mining activities. The study, which will is due to commence shortly, will be carried out through the department’s entity, the Council for Geoscience (CGS). “While there is no immediate threat to critical infrastructure as has been claimed, government wants to confirm this assertion scientifically, and proactively deal with this matter not only in Johannesburg, but in other areas where illegal mining occurs,” said the department. Alrosa sold 2140 cts of special size

141 rough diamonds earns $9.5 million Alrosa, the largest diamond mining company in the world, held special size (over 10.8 carats) rough diamond auction in Dubai. The overall revenue from sales totalled $9.5 million. The company sold 141 rough diamonds with total weight 2,140 carats. 28 companies were recognized as winners in different auction positions. Firms from India, Belgium, UAE, Israel, Hong Kong and Russia participated in the auction. “Dubai continues to strengthen the status of one of the most important centers of the global diamond trade. On average, we have four auctions a year in this country, and we always see high interest from the diamond market participants.  All the auctions that we have held here since the beginning of 2018 ended with a good premium, our total revenue was about $40 million,” Evgeny Agureev, the Member of the Executive committee, Director of the USO Alrosa, said.
