e-portal for filing complaints to CBDT India

CBDT launches e-portal for filing complaints regarding Tax evasion/Benami Properties/Foreign Undisclosed Assets   Taking another step towards e-governance and encouraging participation of citizen as stakeholders in curbing tax evasion, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has launched an automated dedicated e-portal on the e-filing website of the Department to receive and process complaints of tax evasion, foreign undisclosed assets as well as complaints regarding benami properties.   The public can now file a Tax Evasion Petition through a link on the e-filing website of the Department https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ under the head “File complaint of tax evasion/undisclosed foreign asset/ benami property”.  The facility allows for filing of complaints by persons who are existing PAN/Aadhaar holders as well as for persons having no PAN /Aadhaar.   After an OTP based validation process (mobile and/or email), the complainant can file complaints in respect o...

Lucara Recovered 341 Carat Top White diamond

Gem Diamond from the Karowe Mine in Botswana   Lucara Diamond announced the recovery of an unbroken 341 carat top white gem quality diamond from its 100% owned Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. The 341 carat diamond was recovered over the holiday period from milling of ore sourced from the south western quadrant of the South Lobe M/PK(S) unit. 6,518,261 carats of diamond recovered during FY 2020 3,329,289 carats sold at an average value of US$51 per carat  Mountain Province Diamonds announces production and sales results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020 from the Gahcho KuĂ© Diamond Mine. 9,796,823 total tonnes mined during the quarter, a 12% decrease on comparable period of Q4 2019 had recorded for 11,089,408. 35,870,474 total tonnes mined during FY 2020, a 17% decrease from comparable period of FY 2019 which had registered 43,224,827.   1,521,617 carats recovered during the quarter at an average grade of 2.07 carats per tonne, 23% lower than comparable quarter (Q4 2019: 1,977,438 carats at 2.11). 6,518,261 carats recovered during FY 2020 at an average grade of 2.01 carats per tonne, 4% slightly lower than comparable period (FY 2019: 6,820,631 carats at 1.90).
