  GJC hosts the Diwali edition, the season’s trend!   Honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, inaugurated the Indian jewellery industry’s most-awaited all-purpose event, India Gem and Jewellery Show (GJS), in a glittering ceremony held at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, on Saturday, 30th September 2023.   The guest of honour for this Diwali edition of GJS event was Suvankar Sen, MD and CEO of Senco Gold Ltd, and Dr Saurabh Gadgil, MD and CEO of PNG Jewellers.   The Diwali edition of GJS show is being organized from 30th September 2023 to 3rd October 2023. CIBJO Technology Committee publishes the Report!     With just six days to go to the opening of the 2023 CIBJO Congress in Jaipur, India, on October 3, 2023, the tenth and final edition of this year’s pre-congress special reports has been released. RBI announces unchanged policy repo rate!

The risk of global shocks remains! Colin Shah   In a Monetary Policy Statement, 2023-24 Resolution of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), on the basis of an assessment of the current and evolving macroeconomic situation, the MPC at its meeting decided to keep the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 6.50 per cent. The standing deposit facility (SDF) rate remains unchanged at 6.25 per cent and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 6.75 per cent. The MPC also decided to remain focused on withdrawal of accommodation to ensure that inflation progressively aligns with the target, while supporting growth.  These decisions are in consonance with the objective of achieving the medium-term target for consumer price index (CPI) inflation of 4 per cent within a band of +/- 2 per cent, while supporting growth.    On the RBI policy perspective, Colin Shah, MD, Kama Jewelry expressed that, “the RBI's decision to ho...

On March 17, with the publication in the Journal de Monaco, the Ministry of State of the Principality of Monaco made it official.   The World Diamond Museum reached a significant milestone upon receiving a permit from the Ministry of State of the Principality of Monaco to establish itself in Monaco.   The statement reads: "The World Diamond Museum aims to be a dynamic, independent association, accessible to all, exercising its activities mainly in the Principality of Monaco.
