KGK on expansion spree in Thailand
Inaugurates its 2nd Manufacturing unit in Bangkok
KGK Group, a global conglomerate operating in all verticals of gems and jewellery sector, announces its expansion in Thailand in the jewellery manufacturing segment. Spread across about 1000 sq mts the new jewellery manufacturing facility in Bangkok is situated in Gemopolis Industrial Estate.
The
new facility will be focussed on producing medium commercial to high end
jewellery in Gold, Silver & Platinum, with diamonds and precious &
semi-precious stones, for exports. With an aim to cater solely to address the
export demands via this new establishment, KGK Group targets to capitalize
opportunities of Europe, South East Asia, Japan & USA markets and target
their wholesalers as well as retailers.
The inauguration of this state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Bangkok also comes with a heavy investment of close to USD 1 Million inclusive of construction, furniture & fixtures, machinery etc.
Latest, hi-tech German and Japanese
machinery has been installed, along with De Beers Group’s diamond testing
machines, to reduce the time and deliver high quality output.
The new facility is positioned to be a leading source by delivering products, services and know-how especially on technological innovations and advancements that help drive profitability and strengthen jewelry businesses across various prospective markets.
The facility holds a staff count of 350 employees to ensure smooth & effective functioning. Ecstatic with the expansion, Mr Sanjay Kothari, Vice Chairman, KGK Group said, “For over a century, KGK has marked it's invincible presence across the pipeline of the gems and jewellery industry.
Today, we feel exceedingly elated with the launch of our new manufacturing unit in Bangkok. This new facility has a more agronomical design which is more production and employee friendly, enhancing our capacity by about 20%.” “This facility will have more capacity than our current facility in Bangkok” he added.
