New branch of Gem color academy in India

Gemewizard and IIG open fourth branch!

The Gem Color Academy, Gemewizard's educational arm, announced the official opening of its fourth branch, run in collaboration with International Institute of Gemology (IIG) of India.

The new venture enables IIG to offer online and on-site classes of Gem Color Academy's Colored Stones Grading Course in its premises in India and Hong Kong.

Gemewizard's president Menahem Sevdermish discusses the new collaboration:

"Gemewizard is always looking for new ventures to expand its services worldwide. We see India as a main target for our products and courses. Therefore, the IIG, a long-established and a prominent player in education of gems and jewelry in this region, is the best partner we could ask for our online programs."

IIG's CEO, Rahul Desai, concluded that "the unique tools given by the Colored Stones Grading course and our

Institute’s approaches of continuously looking for new innovative courses are a perfect match. The Gem Color Academy's pioneer programs, with their associated Gemewizard's GemePrice system, can enable us to offer new levels of gem education in our local areas. The young Indians will enjoy a smooth entry into the gem and jewelry world."

The Colored Stones Grading course is ideal for anyone wishing to develop in buying, selling, auctioning, or valuing gems or jewelry. The innovative course, powered by Gemewizard's ground breaking technologies, teaches the grading rules for color, clarity, size, geographical origin, enhancements, and other attributes; and demonstrates the techniques and methodology behind them. The pricing system then allows students to calculate the potential effect of each feature on the gem's current market price via interactive exercises.

Gemewizard's president Menahem Sevdermish added that "The few-months' course provides the participants with an online tool-kit and practical skills, which usually demand a few years to acquire in the real gem trade. This kind of program is not available elsewhere."

The Indian branch is joining the Gem Color Academy's network of colleges, offering on-site courses in Israel, Netherlands, and South Africa. The first courses by IIG (online and on-site) will be available at the end of January 2021.
