GDTO announces the addition of two members!

Daniel's Jewelers & Pure Grown Diamonds joins

The Grown Diamond Trade Organization (GDTO) is thrilled to announce that Daniel's Jewelers and Pure Grown Diamonds have become inaugural members of the GDTO.  Both companies stressed that GDTO aligns with their commitments to quality, transparency, and sustainability in the jewelry industry. The new GDTO Jewelry Report and its groundbreaking Sustainability Rating will enhance Daniel's Jewelers' and Pure Grown Diamonds’ offerings and provide customers with a clear sustainability story.

"We're excited to join the GDTO and be part of this transformative movement in the lab-grown diamond industry," said David Sherwood, CEO of Daniel's Jewelers. "The GDTO's focus on high standards and transparency perfectly aligns with our values and dedication to providing our customers with the best possible products."

Dan Schneider, President and COO of Pure Grown Diamonds added: “We’ve been extremely interested in participating in a new organization that is born directly from the lab-grown diamond community and has its own ecosystem, versus parroting everything that came from the mined diamond space.”

GDTO's Jewelry Reports offer reliable and affordable certifications covering manufacturing processes, quality control, and detailed specifications of finished jewelry. This comprehensive approach ensures that consumers receive accurate and trustworthy information about their purchases.

"Lab-grown diamonds should be celebrated for their quality and sustainability," added Sherwood. "The GDTO's new Jewelry Report, including the Sustainability Rating, allows us to confidently share the story behind our diamonds, reinforcing our commitment to ethical practices."

Both members expressed a commitment for a unified voice, presented to consumers, for lab-grown diamond jewelry.

“As consumer demand continues to explode globally for lab-grown diamond fine jewelry, we look forward to shaping how the lab-grown diamond industry speaks to the consumer in a unified voice,” added Dan Schneider.

David Sherwood supported this sentiment: "As the diamond industry rapidly bifurcates into mined and lab, it’s critical to the whole industry that each segment has its own unique voice.  It’s confusing how lab diamonds represent themselves today and it undermines both lab and mined alike.  I look forward to GDTO providing that distinctive voice to the consumer."

Pure Grown Diamonds will be offering the GDTO’s new lab-grown diamond jewelry reports to retailers visiting booth 7123 at the JCK 2024 show in Las Vegas.
