The LGD in TECH consortium’s scope & outreach
To build awareness within tech industries & among LGD growers
The LGD in TECH consortium’s scope and outreach is global and Ram Glick, a marketing veteran with international grown diamond experience, has now joined the team as Director of Media Engagement. LGD in TECH’s (Lab-Grown Diamond) goal is to build awareness within technology industries and among diamond growers about the tremendous power of grown diamond to improve the functionality and longevity of everything it touches.
Communicating
its goal by exposing grown diamond companies and companies within different
tech industries is what Ram will spearhead, beginning with the launch of online
social media programs such as Think Grown Diamond educating and facilitate
collaborative work between growers, users, researchers and development entities
worldwide.
Ram’s first connection with lab-grown diamond was when he joined LUSIX, a hi-tech company in Israel. LUSIX has successfully grown diamond for both jewelry and tech applications and is led by CTO Dr. Yossi Yayon.
As
the VP of Marketing, Ram became familiar with the vast possibilities, that
lab-grown diamond can offer various industrial sectors that will benefit from
its inherent properties.
“Ram will play pivotal roles in driving the consortium’s membership growth and engagement while spreading our message of Think Grown Diamond to the marketplace. We first used this message during our participation in the major semiconductor trade show, SEMICON West July in at the Moscone Center, San Francisco.
We found that even in this huge facility, filled with scientist and engineers, only a small percentage was thinking about grown diamond or was aware that grown diamond can now fit their tech device needs. Ram will focus on a similar outcome for our next Tech trade show event. We want everyone in tech to Think Grown Diamond,” said Liz Chatelain, Co-founder and CEO of LGD in TECH.
The audience for Think Grown Diamond is vast and includes tech scientists, engineers and product developers within major industrial sectors such as aerospace, defense, high-powered electronics, laser systems, medical devices, microwave, optics, photonics, quantum devices, and semiconductors with a combined value of approximately $4 trillion.
“I
am looking forward to the challenge,” said Ram, adding, "Today, I am
rejoining my journey with lab-grown diamonds by taking on a special role with
LGD in TECH, a consortium that brings together the world’s leading companies in
the global scientific, technology and industrial sectors to develop an
ecosystem that nurtures unprecedented research, innovation, and commercial
success."
