Opening ceremony of padel court & launch of box cricket

3rd Season Inaugurated by Amir Lone, Captain of JK Para Cricket Team 

BDB Sports Complex is proud to announce the opening of its state-of-the-art padel court, a significant addition aimed at enhancing sports and recreation in the region. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Amir Hussain Lone, Captain of Jammu & Kashmir’s Para Cricket Team, who officially inaugurated the facility, marking a new chapter in promoting inclusive sports. 

The event was attended by a vibrant mix of sports enthusiasts, community members, and local dignitaries, all gathered to celebrate the expansion of the BDB Sports Complex. During his address, Lone shared his personal journey, recounting the challenges he has faced throughout his career. 

His powerful message emphasized resilience, the importance of never giving up, and the need to move forward in life despite the obstacles it may present. Lone's story of perseverance has inspired countless individuals, especially those in the para-sports community, to push beyond limits and believe in their potential.  

“Sports has the power to bring people together and foster a sense of unity,” Lone said. “I’ve faced many struggles, but I never gave up. Life will throw challenges at you, but it’s essential to keep going, no matter what. That’s what sports has taught me – to persevere, to stay strong, and to always keep moving forward.”  

The new padel court at BDB offers a world-class sporting experience for both professional athletes and recreational players. As one of the fastest-growing sports globally, padel is now accessible to the local community, and the facility will host training programs, friendly matches, and future tournaments.  

“We are excited to introduce this cutting-edge padel court to the community,” said Mehul Shah, Vice President of BDB. “Our aim is to inspire more people to embrace sports, promoting wellness, health, and a spirit of camaraderie.”  

The inauguration of the padel court is part of BDB’s broader vision to develop sports infrastructure that caters to a diverse range of interests and abilities. The complex continues to focus on creating an inclusive environment for athletes from all walks of life.
