Reena Ahluwalia Inducted into Hall of Fame

GJEPC awarded the Hall of Fame recognition spotlight  

In a glittering celebration of excellence, the gem and jewelry industry bestowed its highest honor upon Reena Ahluwalia at the prestigious IIJS Signature 2025 Show. The Hall of Fame induction, considered the pinnacle of recognition in the jewelry and diamond industry, celebrates a lifetime of achievement and contribution. The Hall of Fame recognition was awarded by Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), India's Apex body supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.  

This year’s Hall of Fame spotlight was on women leaders who have redefined the jewelry industry with their vision and innovation. Reena Ahluwalia, along with five other iconic women, were celebrated for their contributions and leadership. These trailblazers have shattered barriers, redefined norms, and carved a distinct space for themselves in the jewelry industry, paving the way for future generations. Other eminent women inductees were Farah Khan Ali, Revathi Kant, Dr. Usha Balakrishnan, Vaishali Banerjee and Pallavi Foley.

"We are delighted and proud to honor Reena Ahluwalia with the ‘Hall of Fame’ recognition," said GJEPC. "Her contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the gem and jewelry sector. Reena Ahluwalia's outstanding journey as a globally recognized artist, jewelry designer, and professor has set benchmarks in innovation and artistry, including making historical imprints.  

Her achievements include inventing path-breaking jewelry designs and techniques, a Guinness World Record-winning watch and creating the diamond setting for the historic Mace of Ontario. Reena has been leading industry in technology and blockchain, as well as building and strategizing impactful, world-class diamond and jewelry projects.  

She is a respected historian and a sought-after speaker. Importantly, her dedication to mentoring future generations through her role as a professor and a Fellow has left an indelible mark on the jewellery world and society."  

Speaking on the occasion, Reena Ahluwalia expressed her gratitude to GJEPC, saying, "To be inducted into the Hall of Fame is a huge honor. It's my ongoing mission to lead, contribute and elevate our industry. I am committed to inspiring future generations to be fearless and limitless in their creativity and in leaving their impact on society."  

In addition to the six remarkable women leaders, six Indian jewelry retailers who successfully conducted Initial Public Offering (IPOs) were also inducted into the Hall of Fame. The six retailers include P.N Gadgil Jewellers, RBZ Jewellers, Motisons Jewellers, Manoj Vaibhav Gems 'N' Jewellers, Senco Gold, and Kalyan Jewellers.

Adding depth and soulfulness to the Hall of Fame ceremony, attendees witnessed accomplished singer Javed Ali deliver a spellbinding musical performance.
