Trailblazing with Diamond Trails launched by GJEPC
An anthology project of art by Reena Ahluwalia showcased at IIJS Signature
Five Diamond Stories by Five Writers. Five Diamond Paintings by Artist Reena Ahluwalia. Five Ways to Make an Impact. Globally acclaimed jewelry designer and artist, Reena Ahluwalia has released Diamond Trails, a ground-breaking diamond project at the IIJS Signature Show in Mumbai. The project is hosted and championed by GJEPC in India.
Diamond Trails is a trailblazing art project that merges storytelling, visual art, and community engagement to amplify the mystique of natural diamonds and the journeys they inspire. The aim is to inspire co-creation and highlight the need and importance of individual and collective impact within our diamond and jewelry industry with new-age diamond messaging.
Featuring
five stories by renowned writers, each brought to life through the paintings of
artist Reena Ahluwalia, Diamond Trails -celebrates the unity of diverse
perspectives. The international Diamond Trails Collective includes Avi Krawitz,
Shanoo Bijlani, Grant Mobley, Sonia Esther Soltani, and Reena Ahluwalia.
These diamond stories illuminate the multifaceted journey of life, each reflecting a different angle of existence, much like diamonds themselves. The anthology seeks to ignite imagination and foster a deeper appreciation for the true value, beauty and symbolism of diamonds that goes way beyond their appearance or price, in tune with today’s cultural shift.
The project, a labor of love, took over a year to complete. The paintings alone required 1,000 hours, aside from the invaluable time spent by the writers envisioning their stories and contributions.
Reena explains, "The Diamond Trails project involves both paintings and stories, and is a mission of impact. Our industry has an incredible pool of journalistic talent. I sought contributors who have proven their mettle through years of exceptional work, making immense contributions to our industry. They are not only respected but also have an ability to dig deep and understand the nuances of the diamond industry. Most importantly, they demonstrated the generosity of spirit and a willingness to always extend themselves in support of our industry. These are the traits that define the Diamond Trails Collective."
The
paintings in the exhibition are for sale, with proceeds supporting charities.
