GJEPC Unveils, Forty Under 40 - at IIJS Bharat 2025

Celebrating young visionaries of the industry in the IIJS domes

In a defining moment at IIJS Premiere [Now it is renamed: IIJS Bharat] 2025, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) honoured 40 of the brightest young professionals under the age of 40 through its distinguished initiative, Forty Under 40. This visionary recognition celebrates the next generation of leaders who are shaping the future of India’s gem and jewellery trade.

Forty Under 40, launched to promote Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and to encourage entrepreneurship, the initiative acknowledges young achievers across the spectrum—from manufacturing and retail to design, technology, and exports. The awardees were felicitated during a dedicated ceremony held amidst the grandeur of IIJS Premiere, currently being hosted across dual venues—Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) and Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO.

Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of GJEPC, remarked on the importance of this initiative, stating, “The Forty Under 40 initiative is our way of recognising the future of India’s jewellery trade. These young leaders are not only shaping their own enterprises but are also inspiring transformation across the entire ecosystem.”

As part of GJEPC’s larger commitment to foster sustainable growth and innovation, Forty Under 40 stands as a testament to the industry’s evolving mindset—one that embraces change, values fresh ideas, and empowers young professionals.

The honourees exemplify vision and agility, leveraging digital tools, design thinking, and global insights to lead their businesses into a new era. Their recognition underlines a larger narrative of India’s gem and jewellery sector emerging as a vibrant, tech-forward, and inclusive industry.

IIJS Premiere 2025, known for hosting over 3,500 exhibitors and drawing thousands of trade visitors globally, continues to be the ideal platform to spotlight such talent. With initiatives like Forty Under 40, the GJEPC reinforces its role as a catalyst for innovation and intergenerational collaboration in the Indian jewellery trade.
