Lights, Leaders & Legacy: IIJS Premiere 2025 Opens at BEC
High-flying Kickoff leads non-stop buzz & activities at the show
Update 1: Mumbai witnessed
a dazzling start to the IIJS Premiere 2025, India’s most prestigious gem and
jewellery trade show, inaugurated across two dynamic venues—Bombay Exhibition
Centre (BEC), NESCO and Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Bandra Kurla
Complex. The show, presented by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion
Council (GJEPC), kicked off with great fervour on July 30th at JWCC and saw its
ceremonial opening at BEC on July 31st, affirming its scale and significance to
the global industry.
Kirit Bhansali, Chairman-GJEPC hosted on the dais Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Government of Maharashtra as a Chief Guest; as a Guest of Honour other invitees remained- Abdul Salam, Malabar Group; Dr P Anbalagan, IAS, Secretary, industries, Energy & Labour Department with others in the presence of Shaunak Parikh, Vice-Chairman-GJEPC; Nirav Bhansali, Convener- National Exhibition-GJEPC.
The ceremonial ribbon-cutting at BEC was graced by Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and Abdul Salam, Chairman, Malabar Group, alongside GJEPC’s key leadership team. This formal opening was followed by the unveiling of the latest issue of Solitaire International and a heartfelt felicitation of industry pioneers who have helped shape the Indian gem and jewellery landscape.

As a tribute to visionaries whose dedication has propelled the Indian G&J industry forward, IIJS Premiere 2025 honoured five stalwarts for their outstanding contribution and exemplary leadership: 1: Dinesh Lakhani of Kiran Jewels India, 2: Ghanshyam Dholakia of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd, 3: Arvind Ranawat of SwarnShilp; Chains-n-Jewellers Pvt Ltd, 4: Srinivasan of Emerald Jewel Industry India Ltd & 5: Siddharth Gupta Director, ACPL Exports Pvt Ltd.
These trailblazers
were celebrated in the presence of dignitaries, Council Members, business
delegates, and international guests—underscoring the strong community spirit
that defines IIJS.
IGJME 2025: Where
Technology Meets Tradition:
Running concurrently with IIJS Premiere, the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) 2025 was also launched on July 31st in Hall 6 of the BEC. IGJME showcases over 200 exhibitors, bringing together cutting-edge machinery, precision tools, and innovative technologies that serve as the backbone of modern jewellery manufacturing.
With the inclusion of an international
pavilion, IGJME offers a promising outlook for future growth and global
collaborations in gem and jewellery production.

Jewellery Associations of Maharashtra:
A special moment
at IIJS Premiere 2025 was the felicitation of Heads of key Jewellery
Associations from Maharashtra, who have played an instrumental role in the
evolution and success of IIJS over the years. GJEPC acknowledged their
relentless support and leadership, which has strengthened the ecosystem and
provided a collective voice to industry stakeholders. Their shared presence
under one roof symbolised unity and the power of collaboration in building
India’s gem and jewellery narrative.
