AGDRT 2025 Opens at Bharat Diamond Bourse
GII organises 2nd edition with the support of BDB, GIA & IGI
The 2nd edition of AGDRT 2025 opened at the Bharat Diamond Bourse Convention Hall with illustrious researchers, scientists and internationally renowned speakers taking the stage. Advances in Gem and Diamond Research and Technology [AGDRT] is a globally renowned symposium where leading research scientists and gemologists congregate to present research papers.
Gemmological
Institute of India, the leading institution servicing the gem and diamond
sector in terms of certification, grading and technological tools is the
organizer of AGDRT, ably supported by BDB, GIA and IGI.
In his welcome address Mehul Shah, Chairman, GII welcomed all the delegates and applauded the efforts of the GII team for organizing an important symposium and providing an important platform for research scientists and gemologists to congregate and present their research studies. Shah took the delegates through the services offered by GII emphasizing on the GII’s affiliation with Sigma University, which will introduce a 3-year degree course in diamonds and jewellery.
These courses will enable the transformation of the artisans in giving them a status of ‘graduates. In conclusion he welcomed and thanked BDB, GJEPC, IGI, GIA for the support and Research stalwarts and renowned gemologists for taking time and attending the AGDRT Symposium 2025.

The AGDRT 2025
will run between 22nd and 23rd September 2025.
