Diamonds of Botswana Report released!

  NDC launches a new flagship report in the series    “We continue our report series with an immersion into the second-largest diamond producer in the world. The in-depth analysis shares key figures and details on how natural diamonds have underpinned Botswana’s rise from the third-poorest country in the world to a vibrant, middle-income country. NDC announces newest member, Okavango!

Natural Diamond Council (NDC) is a not-for-profit organization that’s committed to inspiring and educating consumers on the real, rare, and responsible values of natural diamonds and the positive global impact of the industry. NDC is pleased to announce its newest member, Okavango Diamond Company (ODC).  The Botswana government–owned rough natural diamond marketing company joins the likes of De Beers and other responsible mining companies. ODC is the first non-mining diamond company to be admitted as a member of NDC, recognizing ODC's  importance in the upstream distribution of natural diamonds, and the importance that Botswana puts on  inspiring consumer demand as a driver of future prosperity for the natural diamond industry.  ODC sells over 6M carats of rough natural diamonds a year, all sourced from Debswana, Botswana's flagship diamond mining company that accounts for 98% of Botswana’s diamond production....

NDC to launch new education program

Program on naturaldiamonds.com from April 3!   The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) releases the results of a new study by CXG, a leader in the luxury consumer insights space, verifying that natural diamond education at the retail point of sale is critical to sales conversion. Findings proved that 93% of customers were more inclined to make a purchase of natural diamond jewelry when they felt sufficiently educated on natural diamonds by a sales advisor.   As the study presents, there is significant opportunity for deeper education on natural diamonds at the retail points of sale.
