  Unfolded a series of Awards, Convocations & Recognitions     A series of events unfolded on this day at GJSCI worth sharing.  It was GJSCI’s 13th Foundation Day along with Long Service Award distribution, JOSH Convocation Ceremony and Recognition of Centre of Excellence to IIGJ Delhi.    On this auspicious occasion a ceremony was organized where the Chief Guest at the event were Dnyaneshwar B.   Nsanshi art crafts support for Solwezi women and girls   Kansanshi Mine’s women-run jewellery workshop, Nsanshi Art, has forged on with its mission to support and provide financial support to vulnerable women and girls in Solwezi District. Since it was set up earlier this year, the value-addition initiative has raised more than K32,000 through the sale and custom designing of jewellery pieces. The funds go towards financing programmes run by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).   In just a few months of operation, Nsanshi Art has moved from being a small workshop to an operational workspace with state-of-the-art machinery including a newly acquired laser cutter used in engraving. Competition to be held in Russia This year, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) completed its 4 successful years, since its inception in 2014. For the first time, a ministry created by the Government of India, is keeping its core focus on converging all skill development initiatives in the country under one National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). Annually, more than One Crore youth, have been joining and benefitting from the Skill India program, a mission under the Ministry to equip youth with skills for better livelihood. IndiaSkills 2018, the biggest skills competition of the country, designed to encourage and prepare the youth for the global stage, ended on a grand note in New Delhi in October 2018. More than 400 competitors from 27 states displayed their skills in 46 skills, 7 traditional skills and 4 demo skills, before experts and jury members.
