GJSCI rejoices eventful 13th Foundation Day

 

Unfolded a series of Awards, Convocations & Recognitions   

A series of events unfolded on this day at GJSCI worth sharing.  It was GJSCI’s 13th Foundation Day along with Long Service Award distribution, JOSH Convocation Ceremony and Recognition of Centre of Excellence to IIGJ Delhi.  

On this auspicious occasion a ceremony was organized where the Chief Guest at the event were Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, IAS, Development Commissioner, SEEPZ-SEZ; Ekta Upadhyay, Director, Academic Administration - IIGJ, Mumbai who was our Special Guest along with Executive Director & CEO Rajeev Garg, & General Manager Operations, Kiran Padture who were all seated at the Dais.  

Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, IAS, has been a supporter of GJSCI and has made it a point to contribute his precious time to be a part of this ceremony whenever invited.  His presence adds grace to the event and the students feel very privileged to receive their Convocation Certificates from his hands along with his blessing.  GJSCI feels honoured by his presence.

GJSCI on the Eventful Day: GJSCI was founded in 2012, on this auspicious occasion Employees who have completed 10 years and above were rewarded with a Long Service Award- to recognize their contribution. They have been an integral part of GJSCI since almost its inception.  The award was handed over by Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, in the presence of Rajeev Garg and Kiran Padture.   

JOSH Convocation Ceremony: The ceremony was attended by 250 plus students leading to an overwhelming audience. The 5th Batch of Specially Abled Persons who are physically challenged by nature as well as the 11th Batch of Regular Candidates were felicitated at this Convocation ceremony.   

All the students of the SAP Batch have been placed with Jewelex India Ltd. who was represented by Dr. Samta Jain, Chief People Officer, HR at the event and most of the Regular batch has also been placed within SEEPZ with the ardent efforts of GJSCI and support of Industry Partners.  

Recognition as Centre of Excellence: Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), Delhi a reputable institute offering varied educational programs in the gems & jewellery sector has been recognized by GJSCI as a Centre of Excellence for a period of 3 years.  Their newly renovated institute having state-of-the-art infrastructure has qualified as one of the finest institutes in Delhi. Ekta Upadhyay who represented IIGJ Delhi was present to receive the Certificate of Centre of Excellence.
