Indian diamond industry bids adieu to Stephen Lussier

A remarkable send-off at a grand function in Mumbai   GJEPC along with De Beers celebrated the life and times of the legendary  Marketing Guru  Stephen Lussier, De Beers Group Executive Vice President for Brands & Consumer Markets, who will step down on 1st April, 2022 after a 37-year long tenure. A grand send-off was held on 28th February at Sofitel Hotel, Mumbai.   Stephen’s nearly four-decade long stint to nurture and promote the cause of natural diamonds is something that cannot be replicated but only be used as an inspiration for his successor, Marc Jacheet, who has a rich and diverse experience in the field of global luxury marketing, and most recently was President of Tiffany & Co. Stephen Lussier to step down from De Beers Group

He will step down from on 1 April 2022 a fter Distinguished 37 year career as Executive VP   Marc Jacheet to join company and lead consumer businesses   De Beers Group announced that Stephen Lussier, De Beers Group Executive Vice President for Brands & Consumer Markets, will step down from his executive responsibilities on 1 April 2022 after 37 years with the company. Stephen will continue to contribute to De Beers as a strategic advisor and will continue to serve in his role as Chairman of the Natural Diamond Council.   Stephen will be succeeded by Marc Jacheet. Marc brings a wealth of luxury goods, luxury jewellery, marketing and digital experience gained over a 25-year international career - most recently as President of Tiffany & Co. Europe, Middle East and Africa, and prior to that as President of Tiffany’s Asia Pacific region. New Forevermark CEO announced!

De Beers names Nancy Liu! De Beers Group announced that Nancy Liu will become the new Forevermark CEO, stepping up from her current role as COO and taking over the day to day responsibility for the leading diamond brand. Stephen Lussier, Executive Vice-President of Consumer & Brands for De Beers Group, will continue to oversee the strategic role Forevermark plays within the Group’s brand portfolio as Forevermark Chairman. However, by stepping away from the day to day accountability for Forevermark, Stephen will be able to increase his focus on shaping De Beers Group’s strategy at the consumer level. Stephen Lussier said: “This is a moment of great opportunity for diamonds. As symbols of nature, uniqueness and positive social impact, they have huge potential to inspire consumers of all ages, and with a new CEO at the helm for Forevermark I will be able to spend more time ensuring we build even stronger consumer connections with these miracles of nature across all
