WorldSkills Champions at UN activities

15 July as World Youth Skills Day Since 2014, when the United Nations General Assembly declared 15 July as World Youth Skills Day (WYSD), WorldSkills has marked the day around the globe. For the first time, WorldSkills will be take part in the UN activities with an exhibition at the High-level Political Forum, and Amelia Addis, of the WorldSkills Champions Trust, will be speaking at the official World Youth Skills Day event, marking the first time a WorldSkills Champion has taken part in the activities. Other speakers at the event include the President of the General Assembly, Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, and Under Secretary-General and Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Ana Maria Menéndez, among other high level officials and Ministers. Flexing her muscles in a boiler suit and cheery polka dot headscarf, she was created as a propaganda tool to draw women into skilled factory work during the Second World War but endured long after as a feminist icon. Her slogan was “We can do it.” Yet decades later, RosIe the Riveter, or Paula the Plumber, or Isabella the Industrial Mechanics Millwright, or Aisha the Aircraft Maintenance Technician, are still relative novelties. Endeavours to won gold at 45th WorldSkills Scheduled to be held in 2019 at Kazan India endeavours to bag gold at 45th WorldSkills Competition is scheduled to be held at Kazan on 22 - 27 August 2019. It is likely to witness about 1,300 young professionals who will compete in over 56 skills from over 70 countries including India. Chairman of GJSCI Sanjay Kothari said, in past India has won medallion & silver medal yet not attained any gold! This time we endeavours to edge up our representatives with cutting edge training to bag the gold at Kazan, Russia. WorldSkills 2019 preparation visited!

WorldSkills International Representatives observe Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre! During the visit, WorldSkills International Representatives observed the gallery, conference room, exhibition halls, food courts, and offices. The exhibition centre is on a plot of 74.8 hectares connected with the Kazan International Airport and Aero express Station by a heated sky bridge.   The Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre features a modern congress room with 3000 seats, 35 transforming halls with a capacity of 30-500 visitors, parking area, and food courts. Preparation for the Regional Competition “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) of the Republic of Tatarstan 2018/2019 scheduled at the Kazan Expo Centre.   WorldSkills International Representatives are eagerly anticipant of the Competition where all Competitors will be able to show their talents and skills.
