GSI opens new facility New York

GSI announced the opening of its new facility in the heart of New York City’s 47th Street ‘Diamond District’ that will be dedicated solely to screening and testing of diamond jewelry for undisclosed lab grown diamonds. “Demand for screening and testing services has grown exponentially as the industry faces one of its biggest challenges yet – undisclosed lab-grown diamonds,” said Debbie Azar, GSI President & Co-Founder. “As one of the world largest gemological organizations, we play an important part in ensuring transparency and confidence in the global diamond industry, and US markets specifically, by expanding our screening and testing services.” This new facility will be able to cater to GSI’s retail customers in the US. Testing for pearls, gemstones and jewellery items at September HK Fair Danat is raring to introduce its services to the gemstone and jewellery (GJ) industry during the September Fair, “The June Fair was Danat’s first official participation in an international exhibition. We have set a personal benchmark, which is something the trade now expects from Danat in all future participations,” Danat CEO Kenneth Scarratt says. “For the September Fair, we will build upon that and provide on-site testing for pearls, gemstones and jewellery items.
