GJEPC Artisan Awards challenged designers!

The six winning pieces that captured the attention   The 7th edition of The Artisan Jewellery Design Awards (Artisan Awards), hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and powered by GIA, challenged designers to tap uncharted territory by integrating unusual materials and cherished objects into their jewellery designs, to infuse their pieces with a unique identity.   This jewellery design contest ignited a spark a wave of creativity, prompting nearly 600 participants from India and abroad to push the envelope, and create a new design grammar. The outcome surpassed expectations, breathtaking creations that challenged convention. 570 artisans contested the theme The Collectors!   Update 1: The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) announced the winners of the 5th edition of The Artisan Awards, powered by GIA, at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai. The awards were given away by Chief Guest David Bennett, former Worldwide Chairman, International Jewellery Division, Sotheby’s, along with Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Vipul Shah, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Milan Chokshi, Convener, Promotions, Marketing & Business Development, GJEPC; and Sriram Natarajan, Managing Director, GIA India.   GJEPC conceptualised The Artisan Awards in 2014 with the sole purpose of motivating designers and artisans who are the backbone of this industry. Winners of The Real Cut announced!

Six to rock for the first time at LFW Summer/Resort 2019 Diamond Producers Association (DPA)   in association with Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) announced winners of ‘The Real Cut’, a platform which will bring together emerging Diamond jewellery designers from iconic jewellery brands to define the trends of the future while drawing on their inspiration from billion-year-old diamonds. Shazia Motiwala of A.S Motiwala, Bhavana Jhakia of Om Jewellers, Rupam Singhal of Orra, Akshita Garg of Chiripal Jewellers, C. Raghu of Kirtilals and Rajeshwary Singh of Senco,emerged as the final winners of the programme.
