Run for Swachh Bharat held

Diamond Marathon 2019 concludes

Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd, India’s leading manufacturer of cut and polished
diamonds hosted a marathon on 6th January 2019 at BKC, Mumbai. The aim of this
event was to promote the noble cause of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. With its 4th edition of marathon, the company
successfully registered 5,500 runners. Mr. Ajit Pal Nandal, former hockey
player of India and Mr. Ashish Heliwal Add. Commissioner, Income Tax, flagged
off the race flagged off the race.
The
chief guests present at the marathon were Mr. Kirit Somaiya, Member of Parliament,
Lok Sabha, North East Mumbai, Mr. Girish Agarwal, Director of Divya Bhaskar
Group (D.B. Corp Ltd.)
Hari
Krishna Exports is the sole company in the diamond industry to host a marathon
every year in order to encourage the cause ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and the
collected amount will be utilized for this cause. The organization has already
placed bins and sign boards to create awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’
amongst masses.
The
organization has also managed practice sessions for the runners thrice a week
to boost running amongst employees and participants. The marathon also
witnessed great participation from the diamond industry. Winners of the
marathon were entitled with exciting prizes ranging from jewelry pieces, to
bicycle and sportswear.

Marathon, we always aim to encourage fitness and the noble cause of ‘Swachh

marathon where we witnessed massive participation, the spirit and enthusiasm
amongst the participants was amazing and with the coming edition in 2020, we
aim to target 10,000 runners for the marathon.”
