Kunj, a Mumbai based jewellery designer known for her unique hand painted
jewellery is showcasing her designs at the prestigious Kala Ghoda Arts festival,
Mumbai is running through 2nd February & would remain open untill 06th
February.
Kala
Ghoda Arts Festival is the country’s largest multicultural festival that aims
at maintaining and preserving the heritage and art district of South Mumbai.
Razia Kunj shares the same vision of preserving heritage and thus her jewellery
pieces are inspired by art from the walls of galleries, temples, Indian
folklore, dance form and tribal art from India. With over 600 events spread
over 9 days and stall spaces of different inheritances, Kala Ghoda is one of
its kinds.
Razia
Kunj is here to make the crowd aware about the quintessential India. She finds
inspiration all around her and India is her forever muse. The architecture,
geography, folklore, traditions, mythology, art forms and everything that makes
India can be found in her designs. She is known for her designs as they are
‘art pieces that you can wear’.
The
brand Razia Kunj is unique interpretation that attempts to bring India closer
to the world. Each jewellery line is individually designed, hand painted and
handcrafted by a team of artist. The collection includes- Earrings, Bangles,
Necklaces, brooches & buttons and more. She beautifully combines materials
that compliment her designs. Like for her Moksha collection she has combined
teak wood, brass and cotton cords.

on the association with Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Razia Kunj, Artisanal
Jewellery Designer says, “I am really excited as a part of this biggest
multicultural art festival of India. My jewellery pieces have inspiring stories
of India that come alive in the form of art through brushstrokes.
I
want to make the crowd aware of what our nation comprises of and bring forth
the nuances of Indian culture in the form of jewellery. Above all, these are
designs that will appeal to everyone who has a creative streak in them and
likes to experiment with abstract fashion.”
