Myne London to host charity ball in March

To raise funds to empower lapidary communities   London based ethical emerald supplier, Myne London, has announced further details about its inaugural Myne London Foundation Charity Ball that will raise funds to empower lapidary communities in the Northern regions of Pakistan.   The Myne London Foundation was created in September 2021 to support women in Pakistan by giving their daughters the funds they need for school fees, uniforms and transportation. Women MSMEs Entrepreneurs in India

Women entrepreneurs registers under UAM and UR portal   The number of women entrepreneurs registered under Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) and Udyam Registration (UR) portal of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, year-wise, during the period 01/04/2019 to 02/02/2022 is given in Annexure.   Udyam Sakhi portal ( http://udyamsakhi.msme.gov.in/ ) was launched in March 2018 to provide information regarding financial schemes, policies and programmes of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to existing/prospective women entrepreneurs in the MSME sector. The portal helps women to start, build and grow their businesses. A total of 3152 women have registered on the portal so far. Through an amendment to the Public Procurement Policy, the Government has mandated that all Central Ministries/ Departments and Public Sector Undertakings should procure at least 3% of their annual procurement from women owned micro and small enterprises.     Th...

IIGJ Research & Laboratories Center announces t he industry’s much-awaited service for emerald! IIGJ-Research & Laboratories Centre (IIGJ-RLC) is the new brand identity after the merger of two well-established laboratories operated by the GJEPC – the Gem Testing Laboratory (GTL, Jaipur) and the Indian Gemmological Institute – Gem Testing Laboratory (IGI-GTL, Delhi). IIJS Tritiya 2022 Postponed!

Voluntarily GJEPC announces deferment!  Recently, GJEPC announce their decision to voluntarily postpone IIJS Tritiya 2022, the third IIJS, to March, 2023. GJEPC said, being a responsible body and responding to the pleas from some members and trade associations in India, and in the interest of the Indian jewellery industry, they have taken the decision! In the context, Colin Shah Chairman-GJEPC said, I express my wholehearted gratitude to the members of the gems & jewellery industry for making IIJS Signature, 2022, which was held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO from 18-21 February 2022, the first mega jewellery show of the year 2022, a grand success.
