GIA Team Visits Bharat Diamond Bourse

A distinguished team to address industry challenges 

Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) had the privilege of hosting a distinguished team from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) on August 21, 2024. 

The visiting delegation included Tom Moses, GIA Executive Vice President & Chief Laboratory and Research Officer; Pritesh Patel, GIA Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer; Brandon Pace, GIA Senior Vice President & General Counsel; Jillian Wolk, GIA Vice President of Strategic Initiatives; and Sriram Natarajan, Managing Director of GIA India.

The meeting served as a crucial platform for discussing the current challenges facing the diamond industry. The discussions focused on how different organizations may navigate these difficulties and foster resilience and innovation within the sector.  

The visit brought together these key industry leaders to engage in critical discussions about the challenges currently facing the diamond sector. 

The meeting focused on identifying and addressing the pressing issues impacting the industry, and exploring innovative strategies to drive resilience and growth.  

Bharat Diamond Bourse values the productive dialogue and insights shared during this important visit and looks forward to ongoing collaboration with GIA to drive positive change in the diamond industry. GJEPC championing talent, celebrate design & craftsmanship

The 7th Artisan Jewellery Design Awards held in Mumbai   The 7th edition of The Artisan Jewellery Design Awards, hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and powered by GIA, challenged designers to tap uncharted territory by integrating unusual materials and cherished objects into their jewellery designs, to infuse their pieces with a unique identity.   Actress and style icon Sonam Kapoor graced GJEPC’s 7th edition of Artisan Jewellery Design Awards in Mumbai and presented awards to winners.
