Rough Exim remains equal during April-November!

Rough diamond exports fell 20.97% & lower Import of 11.95% 

According to India’s available Exim (Export-Import) figures for the November 2024 & April 2024 to November 2024; it is being studied that India’s government & GJEPC both are in the sync to attain the short term & long term export target. Here, readers can draw their conclusions from the available figures.

Polished Lab Grown Diamonds (LGDs) for the November 2024, provisional gross export of  India, said; the Polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period November 2024 at US$ 62.88 million (in Rs. 530.86 crores) shows a decline of 42.37% (-41.59% in Rs. term) over the comparative figure of US$ 109.10 million (Rs. 908.89 crores) for the previous year.  

For the period of April 2024 to November 2024, provisional gross export of India recorded that Polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period April 2024 to November 2024 at US$ 830.7 million (in Rs. 6955.34 crores) shows decline of 11.78% (-10.65% in Rs. term) over the comparative figure of US$ 941.6 million (Rs. 7784.4 crores) for previous year.  

Looking at the Rough Diamonds exports basket of India , Gross Imports of rough diamonds at US$ 6960.40 million (Rs 58223.36 crores) in April 2024 to November 2024 have shown a decline of 20.97% (-19.9% Rs. term) compared with the imports at US$ 8807.19 million (Rs. 72684.02 crores) for previous year.  

In volume terms gross Import of rough diamonds at 661.29 lakhs carats during April 2024 to November 2024 has shown a decline of 11.950% compared with the imports at 751.06 lakhs carats during previous year. Here scenario is looking stable in the Exim of rough diamonds! Virtually, exports &imports are almost equal during the April 2024 to November 2024.

The Basket of Coloured Gemstones exports of India registers the provisional gross export of Coloured Gemstones for the period April 2024 to November 2024  at US$ 285.45 million (in Rs. 2391.56 crores) shows decline of 11.52% (-10.28% in Rs. term) over the comparative figure of US$ 322.63 million (Rs. 2665.56 crores) for previous year.
