BDB pay tribute to Shri Kavin bhai Chimanlal Parikh
Holds condolence
meet to honour the memory of the founding member
Bharat
Diamond Bourse (BDB) held a solemn and heartfelt condolence meet to pay tribute
to its esteemed founding member, Shri Kavinbhai Chimanlal Parikh, who passed
away recently. The gathering, attended by prominent members of the diamond
trade, industry veterans, and BDB office-bearers, reflected on Shri Parikh’s
extraordinary contributions to the Indian diamond industry and his pivotal role
in the establishment and growth of the Bharat Diamond Bourse.
The
meet began with a moment of silence and candle lighting, followed by heartfelt
tributes from senior BDB members & industry veterans who shared cherished
memories and spoke of Shri Parikh’s visionary leadership, unwavering integrity,
and lasting legacy.
BDB
President Anoop Mehta said, “Shri Kavinbhai Chimanlal Parikh was not just a
founding pillar of BDB but a mentor and guide to many in the industry. His
foresight and dedication helped shape the structure and spirit of the Bourse as
we know it today. His absence is a deep loss to us all.”
Vice President Mehul Shah shared an emotional tribute, saying, “Kavinbhai was like a fatherly figure to our family. He treated my father as his elder brother and extended that same warmth and affection to all of us. His guidance came not only with wisdom, but with genuine care. We have lost someone irreplaceable.”
Prominent figures from across the diamond industry paid tribute, including; Kirit Bhansali - Chairman GJEPC, Bharat Shah – Chairman MDMA, Kanubhai. B. Shah – President Palanpur Samaj Kendra, Ashish Mehta – Managing Trustee Vidyamandir; Sanjay Kothari – Trustee Parikh Hospital.
Additionally, international tributes were shared through video messages from Feriel Zerouki - President, World Diamond Council & Paul Rowley - Executive Vice President, De Beers Global Sightholder Sales. As a mark of respect and recognition, commemorative resolution honoring Shri Parikh’s lifelong contributions was formally presented to his family. Accepting the tribute, Milan Parikh, son of Shri Parikh, extended heartfelt thanks to all present, expressing deep gratitude for the love and remembrance shown.
Throughout
his illustrious career, Shri Kavinbhai Parikh was known not only for his
pioneering role in the formation of BDB but also for his humility, ethical
values, and commitment to community service. His efforts helped foster a
culture of transparency, unity, and excellence across the diamond industry.
Bharat Diamond Bourse extends its heartfelt condolences to Shri Parikh’s
family. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of Diamantaires and
professionals in the industry.
