In the row, Richa Singh, Managing Director, India and Middle East, Natural Diamond Council said, “GIA’s decision to change its LGD grading system reiterates the clear difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds. By replacing the traditional 4Cs with simplified descriptors, consumers will now be better equipped to understand exactly what they are purchasing.

Natural diamonds represent something profoundly irreplaceable. Formed over billions of years, they hold a unique place in our culture, traditions, and personal milestones. This differentiation ensures that both sectors can evolve responsibly while respecting the intelligence and expectations of today’s consumer.

This move aligns with our long-standing advocacy, as we believe transparency and clarity in communication are critical to helping consumers make informed choices.”
