Brooking explores 1.2K micro diamonds


Lucapa Diamond and Leopold Diamond provides update from the Brooking diamond project in Western Australia’s West Kimberley lamproite province in under the new exploration program since October last year. Brooking project followed up on the significant micro- and macro-diamond counts in Q4 2018.

The first two holes drilled at the Little Spring Creek diamond discovery and recovered 119 micro and macro diamonds. In another follow up recovery reached to about of 1,100 micro and macro diamonds. A total of 11 diamonds weighing 0.284 carats were recovered from the processing. Two micro diamonds and high levels of chromites were recovered. For all those reasons, Lucapa believes the Brooking project remains prospective for diamondiferous lamproite discoveries.
