The ancient, festival of lights-Diwali is celebrated by millions around the world in October or November each year depending on the cycle of the moon. Deities honoured during this five-day period in particular are Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and Ganesha, the god of intellect and over comer of obstacles.

The reverse of the medallion features a coloured representation of Lakshmi and Ganesha sitting on lotus flowers against decorated panels. A mouse offers the god a delicacy from the selection before him. The design includes the inscription, Happy Diwali and The Perth Mint’s traditional, P-mintmark and the Rangoli pattern is depicted on the medallion’s obverse.

Illustrated Packaging and Numbered Certificate with each & the medallion is housed in a latex display case and is packaged within an illustrated shipper. Each coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
