Jewellers
Attention!
A
good demand for small & big ticket items!
Ishu
Datwani, Founder-Anmol says, “Gold temple jewellery & classic diamond
jewellery is trending this festive season. We're expecting an increase in
demand for both gold & diamond jewellery this festive season. It is also
the onset of the wedding season, so there will be a good demand for small &
big ticket items. Keeping these factors in mind, we are expecting at least
20-25% increase in sales.”
By
looking at the season at latch, Tanya Rastogi, Director-Lala Jugal Kishore
says, “The increased rate of gold has worked in favor of the metal and the
industry, as the consumer is reminded that gold is still an investor friendly
metal. There is a lot of promotion and buzz around offers and collection
launches around this season.” On the other hand, the consumer is expected to
make small purchases this year due to the high price but a good footfall and
sales are expected.
“This
season, Rose Gold and Diamond Jewellery continue to shine. Additionally,
Lightweight diamond Jewellery emerges as a popular category where pieces under
one lac have been in demand” said Vaishali Shah, Director- Rivana Gold and
Diamonds “Our trillion diamond collection which brings triangular diamonds in
unique designs has been hottest pick of the season. Amongst Festive and Wedding
shoppers, Temple Jewellery is trending” She added.
Vaibhav
Saraf, Aisshpra Gems and Jewels said, “Due to increase in rate of gold there
are some positive effects on overall industry, there are lot of offers on
diamond Jewellery which will help to push the diamond sales. On the other hand,
the consumers are expected to purchase smaller items. Overall expectations are
low this time.”
By
looking at his buyer segment Aditya Pethe, Director-WHP Jewellers says, “We
have been promoting diamond bridal Jewellery this season as a key category
where a bride to be can own bridal necklace, earrings and Mangalsutra starting
at 3lacs only. This has been curated keeping in mind the changing buying
pattern of consumers in last few years and we have so far received a good
response on the same.
The
high gold price is reinstating consumer’s faith in the category and is acting
as a reminder that gold and diamonds continue to shine irrespective of
fluctuating market dynamics. We are expecting a 15% growth this season. Our
strategy, along with promoting diamond, also includes opening more stores and
boost online sales.”
“Overall
sentiment in market is positive towards the category and heavy movement is
expected in low and mid ticket sizes. Our focus is therefore towards everyday
collections along with bridal range. 15% to 20% growth in footfall is expected
during Diwali said Pradeep Kothari, Director-Karan Kothari Jewellers.
